Precise ignition and injection control: the key to engine performance optimization

The setting of this parameter is crucial to the combustion efficiency of the engine. If the ignition advance angle is too large, the mixture will burn prematurely during the compression process, causing knocking and damaging engine components; if the ignition advance angle is too small, the mixture will start to burn only during the downward movement of the piston, reducing combustion efficiency and affecting engine power. The accurate information provided by the camshaft position sensor enables the ECU to dynamically adjust the ignition advance angle according to the real-time working conditions of the engine to ensure that the combustion process is always in the best state.

The injection pulse width refers to the length of time the injector is open, which determines the amount of fuel injected each time. During the operation of the engine, the injection pulse width needs to be adjusted in real time according to factors such as engine speed, load and intake volume. The camshaft position sensor indirectly reflects the engine's intake conditions by monitoring the rotation of the camshaft, providing the ECU with a basis for adjusting the injection pulse width. By accurately controlling the injection amount, the ECU can ensure that the air-fuel ratio of the mixture is always in the optimal range, thereby improving combustion efficiency and reducing fuel consumption.

The benefits of precise ignition and injection control are obvious. On the one hand, it significantly improves the power output of the engine. Due to the improvement of combustion efficiency, more chemical energy is converted into mechanical energy, so that the engine can output greater torque and power at the same speed. Due to more complete combustion, the generation of harmful substances such as hydrocarbons and nitrogen oxides is greatly reduced, which is beneficial to environmental protection.
